Spring Break

It’s Monday, Easter and Spring Break are over Sad smile. I wish we didn’t have to go back to our regular routine. I like being able to sleep in, not worry about driving anywhere, eating and napping as we please, letting the kids play all day, no homework, and going to bed late. We didn’t schedule or plan much for the week, just tried to get stuff ready for the baby and relax.

We did go to the park with some friends.

We also went to the mall and caught a peak at the Easter Bunny. (the line was too long to wait.) Grandma took Marco and Lucia to see “Gnomeo and Juliet”.

Waiting…

Not much to report lately. I really just blog to keep a record for the future. We got a lot done this weekend-found a dresser for the girls, Julio did yard work, spent time with family. This week is Spring Break and we don’t have anything planned, which is nice. Yesterday we had lunch with a sister from church who is from El Salvador. She was so gracious and the kids behaved pretty well. Today I had my 37 week exam. I’m measuring on schedule, but haven’t progressed as far as dilating and effacing from last week. The doctor did think the baby would come in a couple of weeks though. So, I’m trying to get everything ready-going though clothes and rearranging stuff. It’s nice that we are not on a fixed schedule this week and the kids have been able to sleep in, play to their hearts content and we can eat dinner whenever.

Julio had to go to San Jose today and tomorrow. The commute is really wearing on him. He has had multiple health complaints lately and is so tired all the time. We are praying another job will come along soon that will allow him to be close to home.

The kids are looking forward to Easter and their cousins coming to visit! I hope I have the energy to make it through the next couple of weeks.

Saturday night, my friend Jaleh hosted a cupcake and tea party. It was nice and relaxing to hang out with other women and enjoy some treats. (I look huge in this picture!)

Sunday was Conference (watched church on TV) and we had the family over for dinner. After dinner, Callie and Brian took the kids on a walk. Sylvie has to wear her leash so she won’t take off.

It was such a beautiful day!

What does all this mean?

I can’t see my feet anymore. I have to use my entire body to roll over in bed. It’s very difficult to bend down and pick up stuff off the floor. I have to stand sideways to do the dishes. I have to carry Sylvie above my belly.  I get stuck in certain positions while sitting and have a hard time getting up. I get restless leg syndrome at night along with frequent potty trips and the weird dreams that wake me up periodically.  Heartburn, terrible heartburn.  Low energy and motivation to leave the house with the kids (especially Sylvie who likes to run away from me.) The witching hour is hitting especially hard these days-practically knocks me off my feet. Coordination is waning. Must eat small meals since big ones won’t fit in my squished stomach.  Can feel different lumps and bumps protruding from my tummy. Pregnancy, it’s lovely, but I can’t wait for it to be over!
