Santa Claus at the church

“I want a Nerf gun.”

“I want an art set.”   After we left, “Mommy, I think that was the real Santa because he had a real beard!”

“I want candy!”

“WHAAAA!”

Here we are all together. Sylvie actually looked at the camera, but Tessa was still terrified of Santa. Funny thing is, today he was sitting behind us at church and Tessa wasn’t afraid of him at all. I guess it’s the red suit.  The kids didn’t ask for much-just one thing per child. I think Santa can handle that. Smile

Is there any room at  the inn?

DSCN6645

There was no room in the inn, so the innkeeper directed us to the stable where we saw the newborn King wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.

Tessa-7 months

DSCN6558

Look at that face! Isn’t she irresistable?! Her chubby cheeks and long eyelashes. Ahhh. I could just eat her up! I can’t believe she’s 7 months already. This month there have been some new developments.

1) She got sick with a virus which caused asthma.

2) She has been waking up 2-3 times a night. Who knows why? I miss her sleeping through the night. It’s killing me! Maybe she’s teething. I remember my other babies doing the same thing around this age. She has been drooling like crazy and sticking her tongue out a lot.

3) She has transitioned from the pack ‘n play to the crib.

4) She sits up very well on her own. I just plop her on the floor with the box of play food and she’ll entertain herself.

5) She’s eating all kinds of baby food and loves it.

6) She’s got a couple of new tricks-when I click my tongue 3 times, she’ll copy me. She also has this funny face where she scrunches up her eyes and smiles really big. If you laugh at her, she’ll do it over and over again. It’s so cute.  I still haven’t caught a picture of her doing it, but will post one when I do.

Lucia is becoming more confident in holding her, so if I need an extra hand, I’ll hand Tessa over to her for a bit. She’s still so much fun, but I can’t wait until she goes back to sleeping through the night!

Decorating the Christmas Tree

DSCN6515Tessa found an ornament.DSCN6517Baby ornaments!DSCN6524DSCN6526DSCN6538Oh, so pretty.

The tree has been redecorated over and over again since it was put up. That’s what happens when you have little children. The ornaments have to be placed higher and higher on the tree, out of their little reach. I’m surprised the tree is still standing and hasn’t been knocked over yet! We’re ok so far. Then again, it’s only the 9th of December.
