In February 1998...I was on my mission in Salto, Uruguay. I was living in a 10x10 square foot cement block with wood shutters and no window panes, a metal corrugated roof (that leaked), a small space heater and a wire rack for our clothes. We were teaching the Martinez family who did get baptized and I still keep in touch with today. I had finally reached a point in my mission when I forgot myself and just focused on the work and came to really love the people. The companion I worked with (Hna. Thompson) I still keep in touch with her and we were roommates after the mission.
Things on my to do list...It's Saturday, so I don't plan on doing much of anything. It's my only day Julio is around and I can just vegg. I do need to clean my disgusting bathroom and maybe take the kids to the park.
If I had a billion dollars...That would be a huge responsibility I wouldn't want to have. But, I would get us (and my family) out of debt and buy a house. Set up savings accounts for our kids futures and for us. Invest some, and donate a lot to charity and cancer and Alzheimer's research.
