Julio says to me today while watching a reality show, "You know you can take the boy out of the ghetto, but you can never take the ghetto out of the boy." I asked him, "So you still have some ghetto in you?" He replied, "I never was mentally in the ghetto. I went to a private school."
Me, "Oh, so you're an elitest?" Julio, "Yes, didn't you know that? I've always thought I was better than most people." I laughed so hard my stomach hurt. I know he likes off-beat music, exotic food, museums, the Economist, etc. but I didn't think he thought he was BETTER than most people. I guess I do have an elitest husband!
